The law and lawyers have generated an enormous body of literature of all kinds. Some of it is the work of judges and lawyers as part of the legal process; some is keen observation of the law from within and from "outside"; some is pure fiction. Much of it, as you would expect, is not very complimentary. However, wit and wisdom have been companions of the law for centuries.
I have gathered some of these gems for this page. I hope they provide some lighter insights into the law; as well as celebrate the colour and vitality of the English language.
Suggestions and contributions will be most welcome.
